Travel, Check-In, Shipping
Gate Hours & Check-Out Times?
Please see our Travel page for our gate hours and exit time on Monday.
Cars & Parking
Four Quarters is as automobile free as possible. Upon arrival only, you are allowed to drive into camp to unload. Do not fully set up until you have returned your car to the parking lot. Drop your gear where you'll camp, return your car, walk back to camp, and then begin your campsite setup. Be considerate, unload quickly, and then immediately move your car to parking so you do not create traffic jams.
Parking is $25 per vehicle, cash only. Re-entry is a $10 cash fee if you need to make a run to town (during gate hours only).
Sharing Rides to Campout?
Share space, share costs! We’ll have a self-serve ride-share spreadsheet that you can use to find a ride OR offer up an empty seat.
We also offer seats for sale on shuttle buses from Pittsburgh and NYC. All proceeds from bus tickets go directly to support the Queer Fam Fund. We’ll be posting schedules and ticket prices soon on our Travel page.
Can I ship to Four Quarters?
Yes, but packages cannot arrive any earlier than Tuesday, August 11th.
Please use the following template when addressing your label:
Four Quarters Interfaith Sanctuary
c/o Honcho / Your Full Name / Arrival Gate / Day of Arrival
example:
c/o Honcho / Sharon Clark / New Camp / Wed
190 Walker Ln
Artemas, PA 17211
Sorry, you cannot ship FROM Four Quarters at the end of the festival.
Please find a FedEx, UPS, or USPS location during your travels home and help us reduce waste.
Nearby hotels?
The nearest hotels can be found in Hancock, MD, Cumberland, MD, and Breezewood, PA. Most are 25-35 minutes away.
We discourage staying offsite during the festival, as you lose the “magic”. If you do stay off site, you must pay attention and arrive during front gate hours – and don’t forget the $10 cash each time you re-enter!
The Land & Camping
Is Campout accessible?
For 2026, we’ve added a 7-person Accessibility team to help smooth the experience for those with different abilities. Please read our dedicated Accessibility page with its own set of FAQs for more information.
Is there a map?
Yes! Our new interactive 3D map can be found here.
Where can I camp?
Almost anywhere, unless marked otherwise by signage. Camp sites are first come first served, and there is a maximum capacity for each area, as determined by our Safety team during check-in days. We have primary camping spots marked on our Campout map, which you'll get a copy of at check-in. You can check out our interactive 3D map here to get a layout.
The only place where camping is prohibited is directly inside the Great Meadow in New Camp. You are allowed to camp along the trees around the perimeter.
There are a lot of great camping areas that are underutilized or undiscovered. We’ll mark these on our upcoming interactive map if you’d like to try something new with a little more breathing room.
How much space can we use?
While we don’t have exact guidelines, please be considerate. Campout isn’t the tiny festival that it used to be, and we all need to do our best not to be space hogs. No McMansions! Only take up the space you need, and try to keep your group sites as compact as possible to leave room for others.
Electricity and charging?
Camp sites do not have electricity. External batteries are highly recommended. Battery and solar powered devices are the way to go. Gas powered generators are strictly prohibited and will be removed.
Power outlets for charging devices can be found at Pick-Me-Ups and at Queeries near Hemlock Hole when needed.
If you have a medical device that requires electricity (such as a CPAP), please bring a battery powerful enough to run it overnight. There will be re-charging stations for medical batteries near the Food Court as well as at the Wellness Tent in Main Camp. You are responsible for picking up your battery after it is done charging at Wellness.
Policies
Refunds?
We’re bummed that you won’t be able to join us, however, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds for any reason. With that said, our ticketing platform TIXR has resale capabilities built in that you can take advantage of up until July 16. After July 16, we will switch to a self-service resale system to help you connect with buyers.
RE-SALE TIP: Do not wait until just weeks away from the festival and expect someone to buy your tickets. Campout is an intense week that requires a lot of planning and preparations. It's unlikely that you will be matched with a buyer that last minute, so if you think you won't make it, sell your ticket early. We cannot help you if you cannot find a buyer.
How do I change the name on a ticket?
You can do this yourself by logging into your TIXR account. Read more on all of this by CLICKING HERE.
Can we bring pets or service animals?
Sorry, Four Quarters has a strict no animals policy due to wild nature of the land, including existing dogs that live here. Please email access@honchopgh.com with any questions regarding service animals.
Can we use generators?
Noise or smell producing generators are strictly forbidden at Campout, including ones running on fossil fuels.
Can we use our own speaker systems?
Small FM radios or bluetooth speakers? Yes, as long as they’re operated at low levels and with respect for your neighbors.
Renegade sound systems and DJ setups are strictly prohibited. Your neighbors may be hanging at their camp to get a moment of peace, or catching up on sleep. Everyone operates on different schedules, so let's be courteous to others around us. Secondly, we've put a lot of love and intention into our programming, and we want to give the artists on our lineup the spotlight they deserve. Let's keep the raging to the stages.
During the Festival
How are payments made at Campout?
Honcho Campout is completely cashless, utilizing an RFID wristband system for all official on-site purchases. You'll attach a credit or debit card once, during check-in, and your wristband will act as your card for the rest of the week.
If you would like to pay with cash, you must do a cash top–up at the gate during check-in, and your desired value will be added to your wristband. We do not have the capability to handle cash once you’re inside the gates. NOTE: We cannot refund any unspent cash at the end of the festival, so we encourage you to link a card as backup, if possible.
You will need $25 cash for parking upon arrival ($10 dollars for re-entry each time), there are no ATMs on site. Make sure you handle that BEFORE you arrive at camp.
Where do we get ice?
In Main Camp, you can purchase ice from Pick-Me-Ups!, and the Hemlock Hole bar. In New Camp, grab it outside of Critters Lounge at Critters Cafe.
How do we cook food?
You can cook at your campsites over a bonfire, but you MUST pick up a free loaner fire ring from Pick-Me-Ups in Main Camp or Critters Lounge in New Camp. Uncontained fires are unsafe and prohibited. You must purchase firewood from these same locations to use in your fire rings. Please do not bring any external firewood on site, as it can carry invasive species.
Four Quarters does not provide grills. Small camping stoves or grills are permitted, and are the easiest solution.
Can we build a fire? What about firewood?
Yes, but you MUST pick up a free loaner ring from Pick-Me-Ups in Main Camp or outside Critters Lounge at Hot Boy Coffee in New Camp. Open bonfires are unsafe and prohibited.
You must purchase firewood from these same locations to use in your fire rings. Please do not bring any external firewood on site, as it can carry invasive species.
Where does trash go?
Four Quarters and Campout are leave no trace. Waste bins will be placed throughout camp, especially near main hubs like stages or food. Our Site Maintenance volunteers will be servicing the bins. There will also be a large dumpster accessible for use upon arrival/departure.
All attendees are responsible for their trash. Please keep your camp clean. This includes cigarette butts. Please have a baggie or small container with you at all times to put them in.
Can I donate unwanted gear at the end?
Yes! Don’t trash it! We are adding a Salvage team to our crew in 2026, and they will be set up near the dumpsters in both Main and New Camps to accept donations of gear that you cannot travel home with.
