Harm Reduction is expanding at Campout 2026

Our new team and expanded testing has arrived!

August 6, 2026

This year, Campout is launching a formal harm reduction program to improve the health outcomes, safety, and experiences of everyone on site. Located next to Wellness and Queeries in Main Camp, this program aims to provide education and resources to attendees to reduce the frequency and intensity of drug related incidents.

The program will be launching with a diverse team of peer educators available from noon to midnight each day to have conversations with attendees about drug related topics, and to hand out free safer use tools, condoms, and lube. Additionally, the team can dispose of sharps.

They’ll also provide free on-site drug testing each day, including FTIR Spectrometer testing provided by Rebel Analytics during select days and times. Results will anonymously be posted on a board at the Harm Reduction Booth for anyone to come view, and concerning results will be printed larger and immediately shared with the medical team.

Also available: drink covers available for attendees to protect against drink spiking, and stickers available for cups to prevent mix ups that could result in someone accidentally consuming something they didn't intend to.

Go ahead and tear those woods, but lets do it smarter and safer.
