We're excited to announce our 2026 Camping Gear Rentals partnership with Lower Gear!

This is a great, affordable option for those who do not own camping gear, or who are flying and need to travel light.

‍There are some major changes in the process this year that you need to be aware of:

• Packages must be delivered in advance to your home OR a selected UPS pickup point of your choice if you are flying in. Honcho's Mail Room can no longer support receiving and returning these.
  ‍
• If you are FLYING to Campout, select a UPS pickup point close to the airport when you land so you can quickly grab it on your way. Use a start date of AUGUST 10 and they'll make sure it's shipped with enough padding to account for any delay.
  
  ‍You must call your chosen location in advance of ordering and make sure they will hold your package and discuss any fees that may apply for holding it for you.
  Please make sure the business hours of the UPS point allow for you to pick up and drop off on your way out.

• If you are DRIVING from home, have it shipped to your house. Use a start date of AUGUST 5, and they'll get it to you in time to test at home so there are no surprises when you hit the road. How nice!

HOW TO RETURN THE GEAR

• There will be a prepaid return label in the box of gear. Leave it inside the box and make sure you store the box in a car or other secure, dry location.
  ‍
• Please try your best to clean and dry your gear before you pack it back up so it doesn't soak the box or become moldy in transit. Lets treat our new partners right.

• Pack everything back up the same way it came, swap out the shipping labels, tape the box up well, and drop off at any UPS location that accepts Ground shipments (most do).

• We gave it our best over the years, but too many disintegrated and/or poorly packed boxes were being turned back in to us (reminder: keep your box dry!) Things got lost, Honcho gets penalized, and it makes Monday tough on our staff. They want to get home as badly as you do. Thank you for understanding.
